32 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2022 | Golf Club From the President, Tom Moore: This is the time of year when we review the things for which we are thankful, so I thought l would take this opportunity to start the ball rolling: I'm thankful for my wife Bonnie, my three kids, my five grandkids, and my three great-grandkids. I'm so proud of each of you, and I love all y'all to BITS! I'm thankful to live in a community like Hemet Four Seasons — the most caring and tight-knit group of people I have ever had the good fortune to know. And I'm thankful to you, the members of the Hemet 4 Seasons Golf Club, for allowing me the honor of serving as your president for a third term. It's been a hell of a ride, huh? I'm especially thankful for all the hard work everyone put into our Benefit Golf Tournament this past June—after a two-year COVID-19 hiatus, we were able to raise over $4,000 to donate to the Hemet Police Departments' K-9 unit — GREAT WORK, team! It's time to begin our annual membership drive. We are looking for fun-loving golf enthusiasts to join our group of ladies and gentlemen for some golf, camaraderie, and most of all, fun! We are a social club that happens to play (and enjoy) the game of golf in an atmosphere of friendly competition. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, we have a place for you. Handicap stroke adjustments make it possible for everyone to compete on a level playing field, so come one, come all. You can pick up a Hemet 4 Seasons Golf Club membership application from the front desk at The Lodge, or send an email to our membership chairman Chaz McManis, at chazmanc6@gmail.com Until next month: Remember, "GOLF" spelled backwards is "FLOG", so keep on floggin.' Hopefully, now that the summer heat has left us we can all feel a lot more comfortable on the courts, score more points, and have more fun… not necessarily in that order! We play on Wednesday morning and afternoon. Contact Beth Flanagan at (858) 334-9779 or at hemet4ssc@gmail.com for additional information or to join our 42 Seasoned Cornholers. Bocce Cornhole Interest Group Pet Owners: Four Seasons has many pet owners. I think it would be nice to have a Pet Owners Group to meet once a month to share information about vets, groomers, food, treats, medical issues, pet sitters, and walkers. We may be able to get guest speakers, such as veterinarians, to share important information. If you're interested, please email me your name and phone number to HawkRealtyCA@msn. com or call (760) 519-3449. Thanks! ~ Karen Hirschman
