Special Recognition of Sharon Boll
Earlier this year, Sharon Boll resigned from
her role as Sunshine Reception Coordinator.
While no longer officially in this role, she still
maintains her active profile in our Sunshine
Committee.
As our Reception Coordinator for about
25 years, Sharon pioneered the Sunshine
Memorial function. She has also served as
the most visible and active representative of
Sunshine in The Colony.
At the recent HOA Luncheon for Colony
Committee members, the Sunshine
Committee honored Sharon with a special
commemorative gift along with our thanks.
We would encourage you to pass along
your own thanks and appreciation to Sharon
when you see her.
Our annual fundraiser is back! We ask for your participation
by making baked goods, providing donations, buying raffle
tickets and patronizing the Sunshine Cafe. Colony Sunshine is
funded only by this event, not through the HOA.
If you can make bake sale items, please use a sturdy,
disposable dish and label the type of item (ie, cake, sugar free,
doggie treats, candy, etc.) as well as any ingredients that might
cause allergies.
There will be a drop off area for your baked goods in the
Clubhouse parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 7 to 8:30 am
with volunteers ready to receive your donations. After 8:30 am,
please bring items to the Clubhouse Atrium.
If you don't bake or can't attend the event, please support our
efforts by writing a check to "Colony Sunshine" and dropping
it off on Nov. 5 with Sunshine volunteers or the Clubhouse
receptionist before the event.
Be sure to purchase raffle tickets for the Sunshine gift baskets.
Tickets will be sold in the HOA lobby on Saturday, Nov. 5 in the
morning. Raffle ticket prices are three for $5, seven for $10 and
15 for $20. For info, call Paula Thompson, chair of Sunshine, at
951-461-8396.
