FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2022 17 At our September meeting, we had a presentation by Dr. Singh from San Gorgonio Hospital who discussed the various medical services available at the hospital. As in the past, he answered many questions from our residents about current trends and medical issues affecting not only our residents but other residents of the Pass Area. Thank you to Dr. Singh for the informative presentation and for taking the time to meet with our residents once again. He has been our guest speaker in the past when he covered COVID-19 and its treatment during the pandemic. We are getting to the holiday season when we will be visiting friends and family, shopping for gifts, and, in general, traveling throughout our area. Please be safe in your driving and, if you are shopping, be aware of where you park. If you are out and about at night, try to park in a lighted area in the parking lot, and when returning to your vehicle, have your keys ready in your hand. If possible, shop with a friend or family member. Our AED and CPR Training Class was presented in The Lodge Ballroom on Oct. 25. It was an informational non-certified class that was well attended by our residents. Several of our Steering Committee members assisted the instructor Kim Nelson, RN, during the class to demonstrate the proper techniques to use in working the AED equipment. The class was enjoyable, and the information is important to know in the event of an emergency. Thank you to Kim Nelson for presenting the class and to our Steering Committee, especially Mike Corbett, for planning and scheduling the important medical information. Also, on Oct. 12, our monthly Neighborhood Watch meeting guest speaker was Elizabeth Gibbs, Beaumont City Manager. She was joined by special guests Jeff Hart, Beaumont Public Works Director, and Mercedes Cashmer, Beaumont Police Public Information Officer. The topics included what is happening in Beaumont concerning traffic, street repair and renovation, warehouses, and the train traffic. Our residents asked many questions during the presentation. We thank Elizabeth Gibbs for taking the time to be our guest speaker and bringing special guests Jeff Hart and Mercedes Cashmer. Please slow down while driving through our Four Seasons community. The speed limit 30 mph on Four Seasons Circle; 25 mph on residential streets, including Green Creek Trail; and come to a full stop at all our stop signs. Thank you to our Block Captains and Neighborhood Watch members for all you do to keep our community safe. Wishing you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving and holiday season. ~ Jerry Monahan, (951) 212-8898 Neighborhood Watch & Community Awareness
