Ladies Putters
Our member spotlight this month shines on Shirley Dennis. Here's her
story:
I just completed my first year as a Ladies Putter. I moved to Four Seasons
in 2015. I had to choose between three senior communities and my choice
was Four Seasons. I have enjoyed every moment of it. My friends and some
school classmates all play golf and always invited me to learn to play. At a
neighbor's memorial last July, Susan, a member of the club, invited me to
come and try the Ladies Putters Club. I have a friend who also plays golf
two or three times a week. He gave me a putter and I started playing. I
am still learning but I have several balls with which I've made holes-in-one,
proving I am getting better. Four Seasons is a good place to meet new people
and join one of the clubs here - there are 40-50 in all! I am in the Uptown
Diva Bid Whist Club and Chair Yoga. I walk two miles three or four times a
week, join friends at The Summit Pool and Spa weekly, and visit the gym at
times. I also volunteer at a local food bank once a week. I don't get bored.
Before Covid, I took a vacation every year. I love to cruise. I have five great-
grandchildren, one granddaughter and one daughter. I have no time to be
bored.
Come and experience putting at The Courts on Monday at 4 pm and
Friday at 9 am. If you would like to try us out, we have putters and balls.
We enjoy each other's company while putting for about 45 minutes. Hope
to see you there. ~ Susan Wilson, sw072153@aol.com
