| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2022 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA The holiday season is upon us! Each year, we look forward to this holiday season for many reasons. The Decorating Committee has beautifully decorated the lobby, hallways, library, multi-purpose room and the art room. As of this writing, it's not confirmed if we will, as in years past, set up several trees in The Lodge lobby with gift tags for the Salvation Army. If the Salvation Army does provide tags, we encourage residents to pick up a gift tag. The presents you purchase help provide joy to children who otherwise might not receive them. Another annual tradition is the Holiday Home Tour. All proceeds go to deserving charities. Throughout the years, so many families have benefited from the generosity of Four Seasons residents and we thank you for that! As in years past, the Board has approved funding to decorate the outside of The Lodge, Gazebo and our Main & World Cup entrances with lighting and colorful decorations. This year, lights were placed in the trees along the main entry and it looks terrific! I encourage all of you to come and see the beautifully decorated Lodge and its surroundings. We are blessed with many giving, generous people who dedicate a lot of their time to this endeavor. As this year draws to a close, I want to thank you for your continued support in allowing me to serve your community for the past 15 years. I would also like to acknowledge our Management Staff members who, without their collective efforts, would make managing your community very difficult, if not impossible. Those individuals who make this happen are: • Mari Salazar, Assistant General Manager • Tracie Rodgers, Activities Director • Maria Donti, ARC/Administrative Assistant • Tim Gross, Facility Maintenance Coordinator • And our Lodge Attendants Julie Shutt, Tracie Long, Diana Cayente and our newest member, Angie Jara. We are very fortunate to have a management staff that is passionate about providing the best customer service we can to each and every one of you. Our staff makes every effort to be good stewards of your money and they do their best to adapt to the challenges that come with managing an active-adult community. We also gratefully acknowledge our Board of Directors: Jim Crase, Barbra Balser, Tony Criscenti, Cliff Post, Roxy Snider, Mary Reyna and Fred Kydd, who give many hours of "service" to this community, and most importantly, continue to give us their full support and encouragement. May you and your loved ones enjoy the blessings of this holiday season! On Wed., Nov. 2, I had a meeting of ladies at my home on Firestone Lane. Since I have a bit of a walk and three steps to my front door I open my garage for the ladies in walkers to enter, only one step. I normally close my garage door but for some reason I did not. As we were starting our meeting an angel knocked on my door. She asked if anyone had lost $60 (three $20 bills folded up) she found at my open garage door. One of the girls had dropped it, gas money to use on the way home. I am so sorry because I didn't get our angel's name. She is a hospice nurse, I think she said she was a registered nurse working here in Four Seasons. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart. A sweet and dear lady for finding the owner of the money. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ~ Jan Fifield Expressing Gratitude
