| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2022 | 3 FROM THE BOARD By Marcia Casem We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to complete a Traffic Calming Survey. As you know, the time was extended through Nov. 15 to submit your survey. This article is being written prior to Nov. 15, and therefore, the results are not available to publish. We can tell you as of Nov. 2, we have had 594 surveys collected with 177 comments, 383 with no comments, and 34 with no name or address (these cannot be counted). Hopefully by Nov. 16, the results will be presented to the members at that Open Session Board meeting, or within a few days after the meeting. I want everyone to know that all the comments have been given to the Board of Directors, along with the results of the survey. It is our goal to evaluate the results and develop a course of action that we feel will assist our residents in driving, walking, riding (golf carts or bicycles) safely throughout our community. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season! We appreciate the support and opinions of our members throughout the year. We are here because of your support in electing us, and we appreciate the confidence and responsibility you have entrusted us with throughout the year. Thank you. A Town Hall meeting will be held in January to gather information that will help us to develop a strategic plan for the rest of this fiscal year, and the next fiscal year. This will entail knowing what you, the members, would like to happen using Capital Improvement Funds, which will enrich our community and/or items you feel need attention. The Town Hall meetings present an opportunity for members to voice their opinions or concerns. We would like everyone to attend our monthly Open Session Board meetings and our Town Hall meetings. This is your community, and we want to hear from you.
