FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2022 49
My wife just told me it is December… SAY WHAT?!? I swear the
older Emile and I get, the faster time flies by. December is a busy time
for our club. We have to work on our fourth quarter tournaments
and then our BIG social event of the year — a potluck dinner for
all at my house along with a gift exchange, games, and speeches.
Wait! We may not need that last one. However it goes, we'll all have
a great time. I'm writing this in November and that means I have to
get real busy putting up lights and Christmas decorations inside and
out. You're probably thinking, well, they're nothing but a social club
and I just want to play horseshoes. Well, let me tell you we do that,
we meet (and play) every Wednesday at the beautiful Summit and
have quarterly tournaments with both singles and doubles action.
That's plenty for me. So, we've had a great year and our club would
like to wish one and all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year. Our contacts are Ron Erickson at (951) 846-3288, rejlerickson@

Bocce Club
Winter is upon us and we head into the cooler months. Hopefully,
we'll continue to get good turnouts despite the weather. I would like to
thank everyone who attended our annual BBQ/Potluck this October. It
was fun getting together for some fun and games — socializing and
having a good time with some great food.
Bocce Ball plays at The Summit on two courts overlooking the
surrounding valley. We are in the winter schedule which is Tuesdays and
Fridays at 9 am. We have a great group of players who I look forward to
playing with each week. All are welcome to join us and have some fun.
If you are interested in learning the game, please come on out to The
Summit. Any questions, contact me at hanknegrete16@yahoo.com or
(909) 747-7087. ~ Hank Negrete
Ladies Putters
Come and experience putting at The Courts
on Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. If you
would like to try us out, we have putters and balls.
We enjoy each other's company while putting
for about 45 minutes. Hope to see you there. ~

Fishing Club
People ask me why I fish. I started fishing about 60 years ago. My
father was the first person to take me fishing. One of the most enjoyable
times I had in my life was when I was with my dad fishing. Dad has
long since passed, but my memory of fishing with him will never die.
The next person I fished with was my brother. He took me fishing in
Mexico and I have never caught so many fish in my life. My brother is
no longer with us but he taught me to love fishing.
The next people I fished with were all my friends who love to fish. I
am still fishing with people who tolerate me.
Tight lines to all my fishing friends and buddies and remember the
best present you can give for Christmas is to take someone fishing. ~
