4 | LIFE IN SOLERA | JANUARY 2023 | Happy New Year to all residents of Solera Oak Valley Greens. We hope you enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. The Ambassadors of the New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee were pleased to present 67 Welcome Books to new residents from January through November. This number represents only the new residents who requested a visit with an ambassador and were presented with Welcome Books. We realize that many new residents do not make this request. We would like to invite anyone who has not received a Welcome Book to contact Monica Garcia at the office and request a Welcome book. She will send us your contact information, and we will prepare a book for you and schedule a visit. Our next Social Gathering will be held on Wed., April 26 at 6 pm. Anyone who registers to move in between Oct. 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023 will receive a personal invitation. If you live in Solera and wish to attend this event, you are welcome to attend. We also have a Living in a HOA presentation which explains the Budget, Laws the Board and Management must follow, responsibilities of owners, management, and the Board, DRC Guidelines, Community Rules, how your assessments are distributed, etc. This portion is from 6:45 to 7:30 pm. As we begin our new year, we have four openings to our committee. These openings are filled with owner-residents of Solera, who enjoy meeting new neighbors. We encourage you to complete a Volunteer Interest Form. We provide training and support in delivering Welcome books and answering questions for the new residents. We meet once a month on the fourth Friday from 1 to 2 pm. Appointments with new residents are at the convenience of the ambassador and the new resident. You are invited to attend our next meeting on Fri., Jan. 27. Thank you to our ambassadors for everything they do in making our new residents feel welcomed to our community. ~ Marcia Casem, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee Welcome Committee Communication & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) The Solera Oak Valley Greens Board of Directors created the Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) to research, develop, and improve existing and new communication media for the community. To accomplish our goals, we are looking at good old communication methods as well as state-of-the-art technological solutions in an effort to keep all residents informed. But, the question is not what the CTAC wants. The question is WHAT DO YOU WANT? In order to answer that question, we need YOUR input. There are many ways to get that information to us: 1. Write up your concerns and/or suggestions and drop them off at the Administrative Office, or 2. Go to the www.SoleraOVG.com website and use the Message to Management feature to give us your comments, or 3. Go to the www.SoleraCTAC.com website, click on the Suggestion Box and send us your ideas. (NOTE: This Suggestion Box feature will only be available until March 31, 2023.) LET US HEAR FROM YOU! "Effective communication — a key ingredient in building trust and harmony"
