Ladies Golf By Judy Lebovitz, 951-461-0065 Men's Golf By Sam Currie, 951-461-0801 A Happy New Year from The Colony Men's Golf Club and a big thank you to all who attended and supported our November Pancake Breakfast. This was our best ever attended breakfast with just under 350 attendees. This will appreciably help our Murrieta High Schools Scholarship funding! Our thanks also to all the volunteers who stepped up to the "plate" in cooking for and serving such a large gathering. I should mention that, for the first time, we received assistance from two members of the Murrieta Vista girls golf team, Laigla and Audrey, with each gaining five hours of community service through their efforts. Well done ladies! And again, our thanks to all who joined us for breakfast. To continue membership or to become a new member in 2023, please contact George Herrera at 760- 533-0350. Here's hoping everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is looking forward to a happy, healthy and peaceful new year. We all dressed festively for our annual holiday luncheon, where we enjoyed an open bar and a delicious lunch served by some of our members' husbands. We also collected food donations for the local food pantries. We had our installation of officers for our Executive Board. Sherry Roberts is our new President; Donna MacLagan, Vice President; Judy Lebovitz, Secretary; Denise Strum, Treasurer; Debbie Johnson, Tournament Director; Marge Anderson, Parliamentarian; and Barbara Crosdale, Handicap Chair. We are so thankful to all the ladies who stepped up to take on committee chairs for our club. We look forward to another successful year of good golfing and continued friendships. We will continue to meet at 8 am for the next three months and hope you might consider joining us.
