16 16 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2023 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2023 | Team Sunshine Best wishes for a healthy and happy 2023! Team Sunshine looks forward to a new year of spreading goodwill and assisting our Four Seasons residents in their time of need. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Kindness Recognition: During our December meeting, Sunshiner Sandy St. John shared with us that "Kindness is a passport that opens doors and fashions friends. It softens hearts and molds relationships that can last a lifetime." She reminded us of this as she recognized Debbie Trudell and Jane Reynolds for the many acts of kindness they have provided to Sandy and her husband Bob. Debbie and Jane are the sort of neighbors who make living in Four Seasons the joy that it is. We're certain many of you witness acts of kindness here in our community. When you do, please stop by the front desk at The Lodge and fill out a Kindness card. Sunshine will take it from there and set things in motion to recognize this person or persons. Celebrations of Life: A beautiful celebration of life was held on Dec. 8 for Lanny French that included many tributes and a display of a few of the costumes he wore in his performing career. On Dec. 12 Sharon Deuber hosted a festive gathering at her home to celebrate the long and remarkable life of her mother, Laura Roach. Hopefully most of us have survived the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but we know this is not always a joyful time as some face illness or loss. If you have a neighbor or friend here in our community, who is experiencing sadness, loss, or illness, please let Team Sunshine know. We will send them an appropriate card and follow with a phone call to say we're thinking of them. Prayer Requests: For those wishing prayer, a request box is provided in the Multipurpose Room. Prayer cards are provided. If you are interested in joining the prayer group, please call Marietta Ruppaner. How to contact Team Sunshine: Caring Connection cards with details of Team Sunshine's services are available at The Lodge. You may also call Co-Chairs Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Margie Culton (951) 491-4058. Closing Thoughts: "If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy." - Proverb "With each sunrise, we are given a chance for a new beginning!"
