| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2023 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Happy New Year everyone! I hope all of you were able to spend time with friends and family during this holiday season. This holiday season, as in years past, The Lodge was beautifully decorated by JoAnn Sopata and her many volunteers. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time and a special thanks goes to our Facility Maintenance Coordinator, Tim Gross. This year Tim outfitted the Roundabout with extra decorations including a fountain Christmas Tree and three reindeer! We hope you had a chance to bring your family members to The Lodge to see the beautifully decorated trees and arrangements. Even the Gate Houses were decorated! We've experienced another year that seemed like it went faster than the last. In case you didn't know, in September, your Association turns 20! Keep an eye out for information about this important event. January starts up the year for many things that relate to managing your association. A couple items worth mentioning are the upcoming annual meeting and the fiscal year-end financial audit report both scheduled for April. This month and next you will receive information on the Board elections and in March, the Notice of Election for the Annual Meeting will be mailed out. This year, three positions are up for election. As always, your vote and submitting your Ballot is necessary to achieve quorum for the election. More to come. 2022 was definitely a year to reflect and for all of us to be reminded that memories are the blessings that come out of the loss of a loved one or a personal tragedy. Last September, I experienced both of these. When any of us experience a loss, there are many emotions to deal with. I know firsthand that in this community, the support and outpouring of prayers from our Sunshine Team, friends, neighbors, family members, and our faith kicks in. This helps us get through the healing and "moving forward" process. The grief may never go completely away but with each day, it gets a little easier to reflect on the fond memories and good times. Lastly, our staff family and I hope that you had a peaceful holiday season with your loved ones and we hope that this year brings continued good health for all.
