| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2023 | 5
Happy New Year to all the supporters of the Pass Action Group
(PAG). The support of the fight to stop the Banning Point project
continues to amaze the PAG Board. The show of community support
and involvement is the only way we have been able to continue this
fight. THANK YOU!
After what seemed like a loll in activity, things are picking up. Our
brief was filed with the court on Dec. 9, 2022. This was filed by Mr.
Kevin Bundy of Shute, Mihaly and Weinberger LLP. The city and
developers have approximately 35 days to respond to our brief. We
will then have approximately 25 days to reply. Once Judge Riemer
receives the brief, counter brief, and our reply he will review all
documents. The expected hearing on our case could come in April.
This will depend on the Judge at this point.
We have scheduled a Town Hall meeting for Tues., Feb. 7, 2023, in
the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 6 pm. We will give an up-to-the-
minute update at this meeting.
Thank you to the Sun Lakes HOA for allowing our banners to
be placed at each gate in an awareness/fundraising effort. We are
currently scheduling another fundraiser for February.
We would like to acknowledge Ms. Dorrie Gartzke for her efforts
in the recycling program. In working with the community members
and the HOA staff, she has been collecting and redeeming recyclables
and donating the proceeds to the PAG.
Thank you to every supporter in the community. We have received
donations from $5 to $5,000. Every single donation has been helpful,
and every individual is appreciated.
Donations can be sent directly to our Treasurer - Jeannie Lloyd at:
