| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2023 | 3 Happy New Year and welcome to 2023. As the world's economy continues to recover and transform, the Master Board remains focused on the needs of this great community of Sun Lakes. We are not an island and the health and prosperity of our community is tied to the communities around us. 2023 offers a time for collaboration, revitalization, and renewal, a theme that runs through the Board's goals for this year. We have many exciting projects in store for the New Year! We are committed to not only maintain but to restore and enhance the beauty of our grounds and the enjoyment of all the amenities we have to offer. Here are a few things coming up in 2023: In the first quarter, brand new, casino-grade carpet along with a fresh coat of paint will bring a breath of fresh air to the Ballroom, Atrium, hallway, and offices in the Main Clubhouse. We will also be ordering new banquet chairs. Pictures and/or samples of the chairs under consideration will be available to see before the order is actually placed. Welcome Home is back on track in 2023 with a new look. It will be held quarterly in the newly-renovated Ballroom and will include information from many of the groups and clubs as well as from the Pro Shop, Restaurant, and Administration. Welcome Home is presented by the Marketing Committee and is for new homeowners to make new friends and learn about all the activities available in Sun Lakes. The Board is also working with the Golf Advisory Committee to bring back the golf course tours. These tours are available for new and non-golfing residents to explore our beautiful course. It's a great opportunity to see up close and personal all that goes into managing one of the top-rated courses in the area and appreciate how this course enhances the property values of all of Sun Lakes. Stay tuned for more updates. In keeping with the theme of collaboration, the Board is working with Community Awareness to put together a Vendor Fair here on property. This will be open to local businesses to introduce and promote their products. The more we can use and support the local market for our maintenance, landscaping, or other needs, the more prosperity we can bring into the Pass. Another big project that's been in the background for the past few years is the Lounge expansion. The architect has been discussing designs with the Board and in 2023, this project will be launched. Watch for a Town Hall in the first quarter with renderings of plans and ideas under consideration. This is an exciting project that will upgrade and refresh our most-used area in the Main Clubhouse. Our Community Ambassador continues to work with Sun Lakes' volunteers, the city of Banning, and its residents to improve communication and build bridges toward a more cohesive community. Sun Lakers are a generous group and spend many hours volunteering within the communities of Banning and Beaumont. It benefits everyone when we take an active role in the communities and we thank all of you who spend your time volunteering within the Pass Area. A new year brings with it hope and optimism and 2023 is no different. This year will take collaboration among all of us to renew and restore the vitality of Sun Lakes.
