| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2023 | 19 Needle Me Have you ever heard of a Temperature Blanket? This was a new one for me! A Temperature Blanket is a crocheted or knitted representation of the temperature of a location over time. Each row or section of the project represents a day's weather. I asked this question of the group at our first meeting of the year and Merilyn Burnside said that she had actually knitted a Temperature Scarf. After much enthusiastic discussion, several of the ladies have decided to take this on as a project for the year. Some will make blankets and some will make scarfs; to each his own. No specific pattern or color scheme. I look forward to seeing all the finished projects; I believe it will be an exciting year for the group. The Needle Me group meets on the first and fourth Friday of each month in the Arts & Crafts Room at 1 pm. Anyone is welcome, even if you just want to stop by to see what projects we are all working on. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or Merilyn Burnside at (951) 658-8310.
