20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2023 | The Four Seasons Ladies Club Still Active After All This Time The Ladies Club has a storied past, beginning life as a chapter of the Red Hat Society. A little less than a decade ago, members voted to discontinue their relationship with the Red Hats and form their own organization here in Four Seasons. Today, the Four Seasons Ladies motto is: "Having Fun, Being Positive, Staying Energized, and Giving Back to the Community," and they do it with style. Over the years, the group has frequented the Lawrence Welk Theatre, attended the Pasadena Playhouse, and particularly memorable, walked the Huntington Library in Pasadena, after which they had to help the bus driver find his way back to Hemet! They visited the Mission Inn during Christmas and made trips to Glen Oak, Palm Springs, and Pala, to name just a few places. They have eaten at more restaurants than a person can count! Since the pandemic, the women have attended the Old Town Temecula Theater and Play With Your Food here in Hemet. They donned their favorite hats, dined on tiny sandwiches and delightful desserts, and sipped tea with their little pinkies in the air at Nana's Elegant Tea Party, pet horses (cats and even a donkey) at the SoCal Mini Horse Sanctuary, held a Cheese and Chocolate event (complete with wine) and staged a humongous County Fair in the Ballroom. Oh, and did I mention they went out to eat a lot! Over the years, the ladies have invited presenters to speak on behalf of various charitable organizations. In 2022, that included Valley Restart, Hemet Hospice Youth Bereavement Group, and My City Youth. For the past 24 months, the club has supported Valley Restart, a shelter with a program to help the homeless get back on their feet. Club members donated specific items on a regular basis, as requested, from paper goods to diapers to gently used winter coats to brand new towels and bedding. The Four Seasons Ladies Club has about 50 members, including half-a-dozen new ones in the last few months. We meet once a month and work to have an event every month, keeping busy and in touch with one another. If you're interested in joining, call or text Julie Rodriguez at (951) 821-1970 or Maggie Coleman at (951) 467-0042. Come, join the fun! FS Ladies Club
