This will be a relaxing, fun night where you will complete an acrylic painting, and I will guide you through the process. The class fee is $35 which will include all supplies - you just bring your wine (or beverage of choice) and an open mind. THE CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: ROSEMARY GARRISON Rosie and her husband Wally returned to our community after moving to another for a few years. Nothing beats Four Seasons for the people or endless activities offered here! Rosie and Wally have, between them, four children, five grandchildren and one (soon to be two) great grandchildren. They enjoy gardening in their beautiful yard. Although Rosie has always been interested in art, until about eight years ago life and family obligations got in the way. That was when Rosie moved to Four Seasons and had the opportunity to start taking lessons here with former resident, Lois Stipp. Starting in acrylic, she moved on to painting in oils, enjoying the slower drying time as well as ease with blending. Rosie's pieces cover a wide range of subject matter, mainly in the realism or impressionistic styles. She is beginning to experiment with more abstract paintings as she continues to search for a style that resonates with and reflects her personal vision. Rosie attends art demos online as well as with HVAA at their monthly meetings. Along with fellow Four Season's painters, she still studies with Lois Stipp via Zoom. Rosie's art will be among that featured here at The Lodge Gallery during the months of January and February. It can also be seen at the Hemet Valley Art Gallery on Harvard Street. She and friends invite you to join the Open Studio time at The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room on Mondays from 10 am to 12 pm.
