FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2023 51 Seasoned Solos Hello to everyone! Let us welcome the New Year as we look forward to lots of fun adventures. We began the month with game date at The Summit. Game of the day was Mexican Train while enjoying the afternoon with friends. Our holiday party was at The Bistro. Joslyn was our server and she did an excellent job taking care of us. We all enjoyed the food and had fun playing our gift exchange game. Thank you to Mike and his team for making sure we had a great evening. A holiday highlight was watching the performance of Cirque de la Noel with the San Bernardino Symphony. The skilled acrobats were both in the air and on stage while the Symphony played and everyone had a wonderful evening. Thank you to Phyllis Kates for getting our tickets. We all had dinner prior to the show at Olive Garden. Several of the group made the drive to Rancho Mirage to attend the annual Zoo Lights. The beautiful lights were fun and the chilly weather enhanced the winter feel. A few nocturnal animals were also out and about. Our last event was a birthday lunch at Polly's Pies in Hemet. Our birthday ladies were Sandy Davis, Donna Madderra, and Monica Sarafian. Along with the large group, everyone had good food, service, and conversation. The Seasoned Solos engage with others and develop friendships while doing a variety of activities. It is about looking forward to going out with friends and enjoying everyone's company. We invite you to our next meeting on Friday, Feb. 3 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. Please let us know if you have any questions by contacting Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112. ~ Nyla Cheely What a wonderful way to start the day! On Dec. 10, we had a delightful Christmas breakfast. Victoria, the caterer from The Bistro, did a great job of seeing that the food and service were exceptional. After breakfast, the fun continued. We introduced the new "Vice Queen" Trisha, "Diva Sweetie Pie." Then the games began! "Diva Rethalma" brought a game never played by any one of us. It brought much friendly competition and laughter from beginning to end. Next large gift baskets were raffled adding to the excitement. Then it was time for the gifts. All the Diva's names were put in a basket and drawn one at a time. Each Diva picked out a gift. As they opened their gift in anticipation their smiles were picture-perfect. At the end of our meeting, holiday wishes and laughter could be heard throughout the room. It was another fun Crown Diva gathering and we're already filling in our calendar with more fun events for this year. ~ Irma Romero (Sugar Mama) Irmabsromero@gmail.com Crown Divas Red Hats The group at the San Bernardino Symphony Crown Diva Officers - Marion, Pepsi, Jeanette, Sandy, Joyce, Vickie, Trisha, and Irma Honorary Crown Diva Cindy Graves Queenie, Victoria, and Judy
