50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2023 This is the perspective of the artist of the month, Denise Treacy: "Being the holiday season, I was inspired to paint a scene that felt like home. The painting shown here is 11"x14" using water-based oils. This image brought me back to my New England roots. By selecting this image, I had to step out of my comfort zone. As an artist, I typically enjoy working on fine detailed paintings which require a lot of control and precision. However, with this painting, I enjoyed the challenge of letting loose and taking an impressionistic style, letting the mood guide my color choices and strokes. I found that I enjoy the ability to paint what I feel. My fellow artists encouraged me through the challenge, which is what I love about this class. If you're looking for similar support and a creative community, come and join us!" Classes are on Mondays from 10 am to 12 noon and/or on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm. There is a nominal $5 fee per person, per session.
