8 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2023
DID YOU KNOW In order to have equability between solar and non-solar electric utility customers, the CPUC (California Public
Utilities Commission) authorized the electric utilities of California to implement a new tariff system regarding solar power interconnection.
This new tariff will have a drastic effect for new systems connected after April 14, 2023. Existing systems and permitted new installations
will have a 20-year grandfather period option to stay on the old tariff.

Winter Wish thanks citizens of Beaumont, Cherry Valley, and the surrounding communities for their support of the 33rd year of Winter
Wish. This year, warm clothing, toys, and some household items (blankets and/or towels) were given to 699 children in 229 families that were
selected to be recipients of Winter Wish gifts in 2022. Food, collected through the community food drive, was also given on distribution day.
We thank Four Seasons at Beaumont for participating with other Pass Area residents, service organizations, businesses, and city staff.
Winter Wish has developed into a unique, individualized community-wide all-volunteer effort of which we can all be proud.
Please accept our sincere thank you from Winter Wish Committee.
In order to alleviate the traffic on Highland Springs, pneumatic tubes will be installed at The Lodge to transport residents to various
locations in the Pass Area. The pneumatic transport will hold two people and approximate times of delivery vary depending on the
destination. The following times are estimates: Wal-Mart, 3 seconds; Wendy's, 4 seconds; San Gorgonio Hospital, 4.5 seconds; Downtown
Banning, 8 seconds. A tube system will be built over the course of the next two years under homes, businesses, and roads in Banning and
Beaumont. There will be a one-time assessment of $950,000 per resident due Jan. 1, 2024. Brought to you by "Think THWOCK!"
