50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2023 Quilting Enthusiasts The Quilting Enthusiasts have been gearing up for learning new things this year. In January, a huge quilting show was held at the Ontario Convention Center. It was a quilter's and sewer's dream. We saw lots of new sewing and quilting tools, fabric galore, new sewing machines, classes, and, of course, stunning quilts. The quilts that are displayed are works of art. Cherrywood Fabrics always has a contest each year. This year the theme was Graffiti. Check out images below and at right. One of my favorites looks like a photograph. Several other well-known quilters had amazing pieces on full display. Many of our members made it to the show and they all loved it. In March, we will be offering a quilt-as-you-go which starts March 9, just after we finish our meeting. Please watch for an email from Penny Key about required supplies for the class. Ceramics Class has something for the novice crafter who is looking for a new hobby and a crafter who has experience and wants to create unique designs or pieces for friends and family. In addition to individual projects, throughout the year we offer class projects to teach new techniques. Come and join in the fun. Drop by the Arts & Crafts Room to see our monthly ceramics class schedule and learn more about our upcoming class projects. We meet Wednesdays from 1 to 4 pm.
