FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2023 49 In February, we held our first in-person meeting. A steadfast group of new faces and long-term members attended. The class focused on cell-phone photography. Howard Levine gave a strong presentation. The class covered general information about cell phones and how to use the camera. It then moved into four areas of composition: rule of thirds, leading lines, diagonals, and frame within frame. At our next meeting, the challenge for the participants is to shoot photos using those composition guidelines. We will share the shots at the next meeting. Our next class will address editing. The app we will be discussing is Snapseed. It is a free app and is available at the app stores. The meeting will be on March 2 at 6:30 pm in the RCN. We continue our twice-a-month Work-Study Group Zoom meetings. If you have a photography question, you are always welcome to join us. Contact Jacque Sneddon for meeting times and dates for the Work-Study Group. This month's cell phone photograph is an example of one type of composition from our class. If you have yet to receive our emails, contact Jacque at jacquesneddon@gmail.com. She will be glad to add your name to the mailing list. ~ John Baeyertz, johnbz1453@ gmail.com Photography Club Image of the month by Jacque Sneddon - frame-within-frame photo Seasoned Solos Last month the Seasoned Solos enjoyed several fun activities beginning with Sunday Breakfast at the Bistro. Two groups went at different times to enjoy the goodies. We also went to a couple of movies followed by dinner at local restaurants. Our birthday lunch was held at the Claim Jumper in San Bernardino. Our large group enjoyed some really good food and always great company. Thank you Phyllis Norieka for planning the day. A highlight was attending another performance with Play With Your Food in Hemet called Perfect Timing. The comedy was really fun after our three-course meal, and dessert was served at intermission. The Solos enjoyed the day and we want to thank Sandy Davis for planning another wonderful time. Sometimes we think about attending an activity in our wonderful community but that can be difficult for some of us. Regardless of the reason we are single, having just one neighbor to go with you is a great feeling and friendships begin. Now consider the fun with lots of your neighbors who are single and soon you have lots of friends. The Seasoned Solos welcome those who recently attended our monthly meeting and thank those who return each month to help plan our events. Join us at our meeting on Friday, March 3 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room.
