We are getting very close to spring… if you haven't played
pickleball yet, spring is a beautiful time to play. The weather is
perfect and we usually have a very enjoyable, in-house tournament
in March, which is the case this year. Stay tuned for the results of that
in next month's article. Our eight beautiful courts just seem to come
alive with the anticipation of the perfect climate.
On Jan. 20, we had some of our competitive players play in Loma
Linda in a big Super Senior tournament. Our Four Seasons pickleball
players played their hearts out: Kelly Boggs (4.0), Lynn Ray Dupree
(3.5), Kelly Vucinic (3.5), Lou Luna (3.0), and Dan Anguiano (3.0)
all had stiff competition and played amazingly. But it was Jimmy
Connor, Jim Allard, and Keith Linton who brought home the gold.
Yes, Jimmy and Jim received gold medals in the men's 3.5 division.
Keith received his gold medal in the 3.5 / 49-59 division.
As was mentioned last month, we had quite a few new players join
our great club the last half of 2022. This month, I'm spotlighting
Mike and Julie McGrath. They sure have added some great play and
fun to our group. Thanks Mike and Julie!

Pickleball
Maybe you don't have much of an inclination
for ping pong but we can grow your appetite for
the game. Our method might seem cartoonish
but it works. Come give it a try. Everyone will
find it a tasty sport. We play Mondays through
Saturdays from 2 to 4 pm at The Courts. For more
