DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that you can call the city of Banning directly to report a water
leak on streets inside or outside of our community? Here is the number for the
Emergency Water Leakage office: (951) 849-7296. Please also report the leak to the
Administration Office here so they can follow up with the city. You may call either
Chris Mitchell or Mark Schleiden or send a Message to the Management, clearly
titled "Water Leak."
Did you know that the average age in Sun Lakes is getting younger? We had
a great response to the age verification survey with over 85 percent of our residents
participating. In the past couple of years, the average age of Sun Lakers went from 76
to 74, a clear indication of our ever-changing demographics. This age verification is
an annual process required by the state of California, so that Sun Lakes may keep its
55+ status. Thank you to all who participated.

Did you know that the Master Board is
working on a Master Plan initiative? This plan
creates an overall vision for Sun Lakes now and
in the future which helps to define who and what
we are. It addresses that "what do you want to be
when you grow up?" question. Once the Vision
Statement is created, the next step is to craft a
Mission Statement that details how we're going
to bring this vision to fruition and draw the
road map that details the step-by-step process
to get there. This is a multi-year plan and gives
all of Sun Lakes a long-term objective to guide
decisions along the way. Please read the article
SLCC Master Plan Initiative (MPI) in this issue
of Lifestyles for more in-depth information.
This plan is in its infancy and includes input
from the Master Board, management, and
residents. As the plan begins to take shape,
everyone will be kept informed. Watch Lifestyles,
Good Day Sun Lakes, and your Delegates
newsletter for updates.
