We started January with a great dinner of pork roast and Chicken Marsala and afterwards we played a Trivia Game about New Year's Eve. The winners each got a bottle of wine, and everyone else got a little bottle of Fireball Whiskey. If you haven't bowled yet, but would like to see what all the fun is about, let me know in advance of the second week of any month and we will include you in our dinner. Our dinners run from $15 to $19, and we collect the money in advance. They are from September to May, with one big dinner for our Summer League in July. The Primavera Kids are still in first place as of Jan. 26 and are ahead of second place Ball Busters by six games and the third- place team, Hot Shotz, by seven games. It's getting very tight! Since Jan. 1, we have had 15 bowling poker games and several two-time winners: Gloria Fleischer, Ralph Sanzari, Grover Long and Bryant Hawkins. At $14 per win, that's quite a bit of moola! Congratulations to our two most improved bowlers, Steve Austin and Larry Thrall, who are up by +14 pins, and Beverly Patten is up by +9 pins. Good job, keep up the improvement! If you would like to be put on the list for our Summer or Winter leagues for next season, please give me a call at the above number. Bowling By Hank Fleischer, 714-272-3684 Thursday Bocce is picking up now that the weather has improved. We are changing the start time for March to 3 to 5 pm due to Daylight Saving Time. If you want to learn to play or just watch and socialize, please come on out and meet some of your friends and neighbors. Just bring your snacks and choice of beverage and join the fun!
