18 18 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | Team Sunshine "With each sunrise, we are given a chance for a new beginning!" Just as April sun's warmth has caressed the earth, so have the hearts of Sunshiners touched the residents of Four Seasons. In the springtime, bees gather around flowers in bloom, birds trill out songs, build nests to hold their soon to be precious fledglings; yet our Sunshine Team is ALWAYS on the ready every season to assist those in need by phoning, sending cards, fulfilling prayer requests, carrying out life celebrations, and acknowledging kindness recipients. The February kindness awardees were sisters' Donna Bergstrom and Silvia Anderson. They earned the Culton family's respect by tirelessly preparing meals during Greg's recent illness; they have also repeated this kindness for many others in our community as well. They are pictured here with Patti Jones. Sunshine arranged and carried out a celebration of life in March for Neil Farr. There are currently no life celebrations on our calendar for April; however, we have been notified concerning the recent passings of Michael Eckert and Sherry Hutson. These families have been contacted and Team Sunshine's condolences have been extended. Prayer requests: Our prayer request box is located in the Multipurpose Room where prayer cards are provided. If you are interested in joining the prayer group, please call Marietta Ruppaner. Kindness Recognition: if you witness an act of kindness, fill out a kindness card found at The Lodge front desk. Our kindness chair, Colleen Ferguson, will take it from there! How to contact Team Sunshine: Caring connection cards with details of Team Sunshine's services are also available at the front desk, or perhaps you could call one of our two Sunshine co-chairs: Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Margie Culton at (951) 491-4058. As a resident, please contact Team Sunshine if you know of a passing, illness or someone who needs cheering and Sunshine will take it from there. Closing thought: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt Happy Campers RV Club April is here already. The rain has finally stopped, and we are off exploring. A group left last week for Texas, Oklahoma, and the East Coast. Another group is getting ready to head to Texas and beyond. A couple are just returning from Cabo Las Cruses (we flew). We are all set for our trip in May to Bonelli Bluffs. This is a beautiful spot in San Dimas. Larry and Juliane Sandberg are our Trail Bosses and they have reserved us sites right on the bluff overlooking the valley. This trip is May 15-19. It will be a great time to see the LA county fair, as it is next to the campground. We are in the middle of planning a cruise for October/November. This is a perfect time for those without an RV to join one of our great adventures. Look for our new logo out and about on our rigs. Thank you, Russ Brown, for all the work you put into this. Our groups meet the first Saturday of every month at 10 am in the Multipurpose Room at The Lodge. All are welcome to attend. Don't have an RV? Rent one and come join the fun! As always campers, stay safe and happy camping. Pictures submitted by Russ and Karen Brown Emerald Cove in Parker, Arizona
