58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2023 WOW! What a great turnout for our March quarterly tournament. We had 10 teams competing and some great matches to watch and learn some new techniques. First place went to Gary Bruns and Bob Rector. Second place went to Paul Snyder and Rick Van. We have some new members which makes the group even more enjoyable and interesting. We welcome all to come and check out the Billiards For Fun Group. We meet every Tuesday. The first session is 11 am to 1 pm. The second session is 1 to 3 pm. We hope to see you there! ~ Paul Snyder, (909) 214-9464, Donna Hendzel, (909) 435-6589 Billiards for Fun TOPS Just like the daffodils, hyacinths, and daisies that bloom in the spring, healthy habits can flower with a bit of attention. It's Time to Bloom for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) members. We started a seven-week contest that awards flowers for each point earned to help members create a bouquet of support and healthy choices. The member with the most flowers at the end of seven weeks wins a prize. To earn flowers (points), members will attend the meetings, contact other members for encouragement, lose a little weight, bring a vase with flowers to the meeting, be the biggest loser of the week or month, or give a program or exercise for the chapter. Flowers can be homemade, live, silk, or plastic. Winners will be announced next month. You may find that a group like TOPS can help you as well. We meet on Tuesdays at 8:30 am in the Ballroom. We are looking forward to having those who are serious and competitive billiards players join us. We enjoy playing 8-Ball, Scotch Doubles, and 9-Ball. The Wild Bunch consists of some of the best players in the league: Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Paul Snyder, Mike Fisher, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Gary Condurachi, Verina Rector, and Gracy Luna. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room Fridays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We invite Sun Lakes and Solera to join us, and they bring their best game for some exciting competition.
