FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2023 5 Message From The Board The Board of Directors thanks everyone who participated in the recent Board election. Voting in our HOA is very important as it gives everyone a voice in who they want representing them and who they believe has the best interest of the community. There is a Board election every year; odd years there are three seats up for election and even years there are four seats up for election. This ensures there will never be a new Board elected all at once. With 2023 being an odd year, there were three seats available. And the winners were: Joe Barletta, Barry Ginnetti, and Jerry Monahan. Congratulations! We all look forward to working together another year to continue to make Four Seasons Beaumont the premier community we all moved into and love. It is amazing we are halfway through the year. We are currently running a surplus cash flow; however, this will change when we are heating all three pools, running the air conditioners at all three facilities, and watering our plants and grass in the heat of summer. That said, we plan to be on track for the year in spending. This is absolutely the most important function of the Board of Directors — to watch the spending and ensure we are not exceeding our budget. As August approaches, we will be working closely with the Finance Committee to begin hammering out the 2024 budget. As always, we will be looking at our reserves and current budget, and assessing the amounts needed to run this business we all call home. We will provide more information as we get closer to August. The Board of Directors meets the second Thursday of each month in the Ballroom at 1 pm. The Board encourages attendance to see what's going on in our community. If you are looking for a more intimate meeting with the Board, then Meet with the Board is for you. Meet with the Board is the third Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Ballroom. In this informal meeting, you are able to have a conversation with three Board members (which does not qualify as a quorum), whereas the civil code will not allow discussion between residents and Board members during the Board of Directors meeting (when there is a quorum). If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at (714) 722-1301 or via email at kathycravenbod@yahoo.com. By Kathy Craven, Board Vice-President
