FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2023 43 Summer means traveling, visiting family, hugging grandchildren, beach days, etc. Ah…. retirement! Even though we are continuing our Bible study meetings through the summer, if only one lady attends, we will still have class. So travel on, dear ladies! We held our annual summer party on June 9, and had such a great time. A luncheon was provided, we played a fun game (with some questions about what we have studied), there were prizes, and a delightful singing performance by Abby Olson. Abby is my granddaughter, and is on scholarship to Chapman University for her amazing singing voice. Anyone who missed her performance really missed out. She is so gifted (and, of course, I'm biased!). Anyway, all ladies that attended had a great time. As we continue through the summer months, we will be studying the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament. By Sept. 1, we should begin Acts 18, and finish Acts 28 in December, just before our holiday party. In 2024, we will begin the study of the Book of Jeremiah. This Bible study is interactive and fun, and questions and comments are encouraged. If you would like to join us in studying how the Church began, Paul's ministry, and the events in between, please join us any Friday at 10:30 in The Lodge Game Room. We hope to see you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, (951) 922-6829 or egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life After Loss The Life After Loss Group is an "open" group meaning anyone can join at any time and when you don't feel you need the group anymore, you can stop coming. In fact, we have members that have come for a while, left, and when needed, came back for a few weeks. The group is a warm and caring group of people who understand what you are going through after the death of a spouse, child, pet, etc. Often, we feel as if we are "losing our minds" as we go through the various stages of grief. This group is very supportive and members will be able to relate to what you are feeling and will let you know that what you are going through is similar to what they have felt. There is comfort in knowing you are not the only one feeling a certain way. We are non-judgmental and because what we say in the group stays in the group, you can definitely speak your mind. If you think it might be a little uncomfortable for you to talk, please know that no one is forced to speak. You talk when you want and share what you want. The group is yours to get out of it what you need. The group is facilitated by Becky KG. For more information, please contact Becky at (951) 524-0215 or email at beckykg_1@yahoo.com. All contact is confidential and we look forward to seeing you. ~ Becky Kotzin-Gustafson
