The Golf Cart and Classic Car Parade will open up the festivities, lining up at The Lodge at 9 am with the decorated vehicle competition at 9:30 am and the parade starting at 10 am. From there, go into The Lodge and grab some delicious cook-out BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixings from the Bistro. They'll also be dishing up ice cream sundaes all day. In the Ballroom, we'll have some live music and DJ Dave from 12 to 6 pm so bring your favorite beverages and your dancing shoes. Now get this … for your added Fourth of July excitement, we're having some super fun vendors: there will be a 360 photo booth — if you haven't seen those, they are super cool and you get to send the final product to whomever you want to. There will also be a caricature artist (so that you can see how others really see you). Finally, we'll have my favorite, a henna airbrush tattoo artist. I'm told these tattoos are super realistic and will get a rise out of your friends and kids who never expected that YOU might get an awesome tattoo. I can't wait to try one of those on one of my "pure as the driven snow" appendages. The Lodge pool will be open and decorated for your pool-party pleasure (kids from 1 to 4 pm). The Lodge will then be closed at 7 pm. If you want to continue your partying, feel free to join us at The Summit to get a glimpse of the city fireworks starting at 9 pm. Be sure to bring a folding chair just to be certain you'll have somewhere to sit. The Summit will be open until 10 pm that night. Summer outdoor movies have been a big hit, so this month's movie sponsored by the Amphitheater group will take place on Wednesday, July 12 at 8 pm down at the Amphitheater. The showcased movie will be at ing You Do. It's a fun movie for all ages. Bring your snacks and drinks and don't forget a blanket or sweater. On Friday, July 14, come on down as the HOA sponsors "July Jocularity, the Summer Humor Refill." It's a free comedy show with table seating. Tickets will be available at the front desk starting Friday, July 7. Bring your favorite beverages. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 6 pm. You must have a ticket to get in. Karaoke this month will be on Saturday, July 15 at 5:30 pm. Come and join the most popular KJ in town. What a great night it always is, enjoying your neighbor in song!
