| OHCC LIVING | JULY 2023 | 29 Matinee Club First, let me offer sincere thanks to those who welcomed our club's return in April, and brought us success. We began a few months ago with Peter Sprague's band and wonderful reviews, followed by Baba, the Storyteller, whose performance brought both information and delight to those in attendance. Our next show is a comedic one, with Alonzo Bodden. As I am writing this in the beginning of June, he has not yet performed here, but we have every expectation that it will be another success. Interest in this event has been tremendous, and ticket sales way ahead of our other two shows. We may actually have our first sold out show! ank you in advance for that. Now let's talk about what's coming next. It has been difficult to schedule use of Abravanel Hall for a number of reasons, not the least of which is our late arrival to the booking process; for that reason, we have decided to 'go dark' for the summer. In other words, there will be no shows in July or August. Check this space in August for the fall schedule. And now, you lovers of shows, get outside and enjoy your summer!
