Our meetings are a great gathering along with the sharing of talent, as shown by our pictures. Yes, we do a little business before we have our fun, but you should join us the first ursday of the month in the Mykonos Room at 9:30 am. We're usually done by 11 am, so it's not a long meeting. Our classes (free to members) are in full swing! On Sat., July 8, we will have another "Meet the Machines" class and a tour of the sewing room. Our room is a great resource, full of things that are available for your use. Notions, fabric, yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks, just to mention a few. Come by and check it out! On urs., July 20, we will be making small "ditty bags" - very useful items. Plan ahead for your holiday gi list! e following Sat., July 22 will offer two different sessions. e first (from 9:30 am – 12 pm) will be a holiday cra lesson, which is a gathered fabric pumpkin. is project requires a minimum of machine sewing, and we have machines for your use in our sewing room. e second session (12:30 – 3 pm) is how to make a coiled coaster. Once you learn the technique, you can make bowls, placemats, and a lot of other items. All classes are held in the Sewing Room at the Clubhouse. Don't forget about our "rideshare" service to meetings and workshops. If you are interested in attending the monthly meetings or any of the workshops and have no transportation, please call Sharon Philippe (760) 500-3086. We have a list of volunteers who will be happy to get you to and from the event. We continue to hear from a lot of you that, "I used to do that, and would like to do it again". Well, our Kneedlers and Hookers (crocheters) gather on Tuesdays from 3 - 4:30 pm, and are always looking for excuses to practice their knitting and crocheting, and to offer guidance. Also, on Tuesday evenings (6 – 8 pm) and Fridays (12 - 3 pm) several quilters, knitters, crocheters and sewers get together for "Sew & Chats." Both of these gatherings are loosely structured, and help to keep us in touch.
