4 | LIFE IN SOLERA | JULY 2023 | Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) Upon the recommendation of the Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC), the HOA has incorporated digital signage in the clubhouse. Digital signage is used by many different companies, agencies, and educational facilities. We have also seen it used at other 55+ communities in our area including Sun Lakes and Four Seasons. This system is using BrightSign hardware and BrightAuthor software which will allow administrative staff to post edifying information to residents and guests visiting the clubhouse. There are three screens that have been activated; one in the mailroom, one that can be seen when entering the Clubhouse doors near the kitchen, and one in the gymnasium. In addition, the TV in the great room will also be part of the system when not otherwise in use. The BrightSign/ BrightAuthor system allows the ability to display completely different information on each screen. There are many types of information that may appear on a screen. For instance, a screen may display: • A slideshow that informs residents of upcoming events, • A video that was created of the last Concert on the Greens, • A training video on various topics, • A listing of 'Today's Events', • Administrative or Board of Director's Announcements, • A weather report, local news and/or major news events, • Etc. The Communications & Technology Advisory Committee will continue to develop and make recommendations to the Board of Directors that will enhance communication and, where appropriate, modernize our communication systems and bring them into the 21st Century. We hope that you enjoy and/or appreciate this new system and, if you have suggestions as to what you would like displayed on any of our new digital signage, please let us know by sending your suggestions or ideas to manager@soleractac.com . e Solera Oak Valley Greens Board of Directors created the Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) to research, develop, and improve existing and new communication methods for the community. To accomplish our goals, we are looking to modify current communication methods, if needed, as well as institute state-of-the-art technological solutions in an effort to keep all residents informed. ~ Lane Joel, Chairperson "Effective communication — a key ingredient in building trust and harmony."
