Morning Pickleball: Come join the fun! We play on Tuesdays, ursdays, and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We know you'll have as much fun as we do. Evening - Pickleball Club: We normally play on Monday through ursday from 5 to 8 pm. However, due to the heat, the evening pickleball will be from 6 to 8:30 pm, rather than 5 to 8 pm. We invite anyone who would like to play Pickleball to come join us. Players of all skill levels are welcome. We don't just love playing Pickleball; our group also gets together once a month on a Sunday at e Lodge Game Room. We each bring something to eat and play the game of Sequence. is game is a card and board game: lots of fun, and even better, there's a lot of laughing going on! Featured Pickleball Player — Dick Burnside: Dick Burnside turns 90 years old on Aug. 8! He regularly joins players on the pickleball courts in the evening. He continues to improve his game skills. Dick is an amazing person! Dick was raised in Oregon. Aer finishing his BA degree in Mexico, he earned his MBA degree at Stanford. He lived in the Long Beach/Huntington Harbor area where he was active in sailboat racing. Dick had actively snow skied for years until he changed to snowboarding 10 years ago. He went snowboarding this past winter at Big Bear with his wife of 42 years, Marilyn, who skis! Dick worked in banking for 20 years. He was the president of a banking insurance company, before becoming the owner/broker of his own company. Before retiring at 84 years old, he worked for a private equity company in Pasadena that dealt with charitable organizations. Since Dick and Marilyn moved to Four Seasons, he has continued to be an amazing, active senior citizen. | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2023 | 29 At le is a picture of our annually awarded Spirit Award. It was first given to resident and world-wide tennis player, Bill Koretke, to honor his love of the game and his wonderful sportsmanship and joie de vivre. Tennis players here at Four Seasons share a special friendship and support that goes beyond the courts. We encourage everyone, from beginners to "It's been a loooong time since I played" to join in. Folks are on the courts most mornings. Drop by and get some good exercise and some socializing in too!!
