Seasons Quilters newest announcement is that we are now
meeting EVERY ursday, (except the fourth ursday) in the
Arts & Cras Room from 10 am to 4 pm with our usual break for
lunch at the Bistro. We have so much fun sewing and sharing, we
decided "more oen" is better. Not to mention, a great way to beat
the summer heat!
Seasons Quilters Members continue to dazzle us with their many
talents and creative ideas. Hand Appliqued by Cleta Colston, and
quilted by Diane Best (below le), this beauty holds ribbons for
Best in Show, First Place Applique' and Viewers Choice. Diane
Best, who never ceases to dazzle us with her over 50 years of
quilting experience, (and our Club's Sponsor) also designed this
whimsical Starburst of color. Need that extra special something?
Pat Spurgeon created these cosmetic bags with zippers, but my
"need list" imagines them holding so much more. Sewing notions,
school supplies, all that little stuff you lose into the abyss of your
purse, favorite recipes, keepsake treasures easily identifiable by a
unique motif, etc. Handmade is always better, as are their many
uses. e list is endless…
Plan to attend our Community's 20th Year Anniversary
Celebration in September and stop by Seasons Quilters to view
these, and many more of our talents, which will be on display.
ere truly is no end to the creative uses of a needle and thread
and some fabric.
Our August meetings will be Aug. 3, 10, 17 and 31 in the Arts &
Cras Room, beginning at 10 am. Aer our usual break for lunch
at the Bistro, we then return to continue sewing and visiting until
4 pm. Curiosity seekers are always welcome, and of course new
members are actively encouraged!
