Our 2024 projected budget for security is $420,000. Of that, we have three eight-hour shis of roving patrols at $76,000 per shi annually totaling $228,000 per year. What are your thoughts on continuing our current security coverage? We all need to know how our security system operates, and the breakdown of cost. Participants had differing views as to the necessity of the daytime roving patrols and suggested adding more cars at night. It was also suggested roving patrol spend time at the back gate as a deterrent. In summary, most participants wanted to keep 24/7 roving patrols, to enhance public awareness of services, and to expand the duties of the roving patrol to include community maintenance issues and public assistance. A presentation to clarify the duties of the security company will be scheduled during a Wednesday general Board session. Be on the lookout for a date. A big thank you to all the participants for their time and effort. Your input is appreciated. Community Connection
