| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2023 | 13 Aer a couple of years of minimal maintenance to the machines in the computer room, we have had some professional work done with major upgrades and updates. e PCs all have the latest version of Windows 10 and the iMacs are running Ventura. ey all have Microso Office products and access to Ancestry.com as well as other useful applications. ere are five PCs and six beautiful iMacs for general use by all OHCC residents. We've added a couple of iMacs generously donated by Mike Ackerman and another PC in order to provide more stations for group sessions like the Genealogy group. ey are all more than six years old so are struggling with the newer operating systems and soware so please be patient. ey all have soware which removes everything that was done on a machine when they are restarted. Please be patient with them and please RESTART them so they will start back up and be running for the next user. ere is a Restart button on the desktop for your convenience. Always restart the computer to ensure your history is erased. Share any problems in the computer lab with TAG. It won't be long before we will start rehearsing for our Holiday Concert coming on Dec. 10. e first rehearsal will be on Sept. 7 at 10:15 am. If you like to sing, please come out and join us. ere are no auditions to join, just a desire to have a good time while singing. We're looking forward to continuing our Local Artist Concert Series in an evening of Cabaret music presented by Patricia Jewel. Patricia Jewel is an accomplished actor, singer and songwriter based in Southern California. Classically trained, she exhibits great versatility and has been featured in productions from Handel's oratorio Messiah to Kander and Ebb's Chicago. Patricia has captivated audiences with her warm tone and nuanced phrasing, showcasing her gi of singing big ballads and brassy upbeat melodies. Join us for a night of Broadway tunes and beloved songs from the silver screen. Seats are $20 each and there are two ways to arrange your seats: 1. You can leave a check at the front desk made out to Ocean Hills Chorale and ask them to put it in the Choral Society Envelope. Include your name and how many will be attending. 2.
