The beautiful fall season is almost here! Join us on Fri., Sept. 15 to listen to the music of Tony Lopez and a meal of meat lasagna (if you prefer vegetarian lasagna, note that on your check), garlic bread, green salad, and spumoni for dessert. The price for all of this is only $20 for members and $24 for guests. Dues are only $7.50, so check us out! Dinner checks go to Barbara Semic at 2299 Wailea Beach by Sept. 7. Shelly is also in charge of the Thurs., Sept. 7 dinner and Sat., Sept. 23 luncheon. Call her if you plan to attend. Young at Heart Well, I hope everyone is keeping cool. I think we were all tired of the cold, now we are tired of the heat. Our Luau event was a huge success. How about those Hawaiian dancers? Our hats are off to Tin Man's Heart for the music. I would like to thank Theresa Van Haren as the planner for this fun event and to all her helpers, Jeff Van Haren, Shannon McKinney, Suzi Robitzer, Sally Jo and Steve Schwartz, Bob Walter, Bonnie Aulwes, and Gary Balcom. As you can see, it takes a village to put on this event. We had a super turn out and Matt was even our bartender for the wonderful Mai Tais. Great food and dessert. Fun pictures! Future Events: Sept. 30: Music under the Stars. Bring an appetizer to share. We will have tables, plates, napkins, etc. BYOB and glasses. Get to meet new members! Oct. 29: Wine Event in the North Clubhouse. A flyer will be sent out to members. This is a first-come, first-serve basis (46) maximum Nov. 19: Dueling Pianos is back by popular demand. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL SUN LAKES RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS. The cost is $15 per person for members and $20 for non members. You may drop your checks off to Theresa Van Haren at 6029 Turnberry.
