I was an ER nurse for 17 years. On
Halloween we were allowed to dress
in "non-bloody costumes." is is the
year I tried to look like a pirate.

Mike and I were involved with the Fond
du Lac, Wis. Optimist Club from 1988
until 2018. I was a treasurer for several
tenures and its president in 2015. e
mission was to raise funds for local
youth and community groups and we
were proud to help raise $800,000 over
time. It was a joy and honor for us to
have been part of this organization.

e photo above le is of the Rock that is now placed at the entrance to LACMA (LA County
Museum). e artist who was hired to supply a unique piece settled on this boulder he found in
a Pedley rock mine. It weighs over 700,000 pounds. I was contracted to weigh it and find a route
from Pedley prior to transport to Los Angeles. e picture shows our 800-ton Gantry with fish
scales attached to determine weight. e second picture is its current placement at museum. And I
