Hi. Welcome to the e-Bike club. I'd like to say that to a lot more of
you. We have a good-sized list of people interested in the club, but
not a lot of riders. We have been meeting at The Lodge in the parking
lot on the first Thursday of each month. However, there aren't a lot of
people showing up. If you are receiving emails and the time doesn't
work for you, please let us know. We can change or add more rides.
Our success requires everyone to let us know what they are looking
for.
By way of new information … California has a new e-bike rebate
program that should roll out at the end of this year and all next. As of
Aug. 1, Riverside County has not picked up the plan. Follow the plan
progress at calbike.org.
California proposed Assembly Bill 530 if passed will prohibit
all persons under 12 from riding e-bikes and require all others to
complete an online bike-rider course and have either have a DMV
issued drivers license or a new e-bike rider license. Follow this on
electrek.com.
Under existing California laws, cities and local governing bodies
cannot prohibit e-bikes from access to most bike paths except
hiking, equestrian and recreation trails. FYI Four Seasons trails
are not bike paths.
If you are a member, please let us know:
• When you would like to ride
• If you want to have a fixed non-riding meeting
• If you're interested in a bike show, like the car shows, where you
can show off your e-bike and just chat about e-bike in general
We have been invited — really encouraged — to join the Golf Cart
parades. So decorate your e-bike and join the parades. Remember
an e-bike is just a golf cart for one.

We'd love to hear from you. If you don't have an e-bike and are
looking, come check us out. We would be glad to show you our bikes
and might even be able to help you find a deal. ~ Steve Cooley, (801)
