| THE COLONY NEWS | SEPTEMBER 2023 | 21 e book for September is the New York Times bestseller, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood. Trevor Noah's memoir is a poignant, dramatic, and oen hilarious story of a mischievous young boy's struggles to find himself in a world where his very existence was a crime. It is also the story of his relationship with his rebellious, fervently religious mother and her extreme and sometimes absurd measures to hide him from the government.
