| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2023 | 31
Seasons Quilters are thrilled to be meeting EVERY ursday,
(except the fourth ursday) in the Arts & Cras Room from 10
am to 4 pm. During these hot, summer months, it is a joy to spend
more time with one another while beating the heat at the same
time.
As our members continue to dazzle us with their many talents
and creative ideas, Pat Spurgeon's imaginative use of her grandson's
football jerseys made a great keepsake of fond memories for both
(photo top le). Linda Piraino dazzled us with this 1935 handmade
cross-stitch masterpiece, all hand-quilted by her grandmother,
Grace Armstrong, in the early 1930s (photo top right). It took
three years to complete, quilting two to three hours every day.
On Sept. 23, in the Ballroom from 11 am to 2 pm, our community
will celebrate 20 years, with Club participation, a cake, and much
hoopla! Mark your calendars and plan to attend this fun event.
Seasons Quilters will have a booth to display unique works of art,
and will share with you, "Why the love for quilting?"
Our September Club meetings will be Sept. 7, 14 and 21 in the
Arts & Cras Room, beginning at 10 am. Aer our usual break for
lunch at the Bistro, at 12:30 pm, we then return to continue sewing
and visiting until 4 pm. Curiosity seekers are always welcome, and
of course new members are actively encouraged!
For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects
and forming forever friendships through this wonderful hobby of
quilting, stop by the Arts & Cras Room and see what's sewing!
We would love to meet you.
All Four Seasons residents are welcome to meetings and
excursions.
