40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2023 Tails & Trails - All Pets It's been a busy time for the Tails and Trails group. During the recent storm, we were able to rescue a frightened dog who had gotten loose. Kudos to everyone out there searching in the wind and rain. Special shout-out to Lorenzo Amaya, who climbed down an embankment to rescue little Henry. Patti Brock and Laura Emerson kept Henry at their home until he could be reunited with his family. Thanks so much! We want to thank everyone who donated food or money to the Pet Food Drive we held in partnership with the Ramona Humane Society. Your support is greatly appreciated. In fact, the kennels that were used for the food donations came in handy in the recovery of a lost pet. The Management staff were able to corral a loose dog and keep him in one of those kennels at The Lodge. Remember, if your pet is lost or missing, please contact the Tails and Trails Recovery Team at (951) 663-7012. Annual Blessing of the Animals: Our Four Seasons Blessing of the Animals is Saturday, Oct. 21. It begins at 3 pm and will take place near the parking lot outside the RCN. This is an annual, non- denominational event. All pets are welcome. ~ Vivian Walker, vivr@sbcglobal.net Our September Cars & Coffee was another huge hit with more than 30 cars and trucks strutting their stuff. The weather was cool and pleasant, with no rain. Two new comers showed up with their really cool rides. Dave and Janine Rohrbacker arrived quietly in their all- electric, beautiful 2023 white Hyundai Ioniq 6. It is so technology advanced that Janine and Dave are still getting used to all the features. Of course, they had owned the car for just a day. Another ride that attracted a lot of attention was Tom and Catherine Powers' absolutely striking 2022 flawless black Ford Raptor pickup truck. They have owned it for nine months. The Four Seasons Veterans Car Show is set for Veterans Day Saturday, Nov. 11. Staging begins at 7am. Entry forms are available at The Lodge and must be turned in to the front desk with the $30 registration fee, no later than Oct. 31. Spectators are encouraged to come and view the beautiful cars, trucks, and motorcycles that will be on display. For those of you who are participating in the Corvettes West Car Show at the March Field Air Museum Saturday, Oct 21, we will meet at The Lodge parking lot around 6:30 am.
