FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2023 63 We welcome everyone to the BFFG. We meet every Tuesday. The first session is from 11 am to 1 pm. The second session is from 1 to 3 pm. Everyone is welcome. See you there! For information, call Paul Snyder at (909) 214-9464 or Donna Hendzel at (909) 435-6589. ~ Donna Hendzel Billiards for Fun Group The 8-Ball Club continues the year with lots of practice and tournaments. The club practices or plays tournaments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6:30 to 9 pm. The club meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month, an 8-Ball tournament on the second Wednesday of the month, and a 9-Ball tournament on the fourth Wednesday of the month. The club also plays four team events with Solera Oak Valley (1615 Fairway Dr., Beaumont, 92223) and Solera Diamond Valley (1645 Paseo Diamante, Hemet, 92545) on the first, second, third, and fourth Mondays of each month. Two here and two away. Check the calendar on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board for all the events each month. The 8-Ball Club would like to welcome two new members Butch and April to the club. A big welcome aboard. This month's in-house 8-Ball tournament had 14 players competing in the tournament. There were several times when players got rematches. Larry sent April to the loser bracket only to meet April again. April won and sent Larry to the loser bracket to force a playoff. In the third and final match between the two, Larry came away with the win. Congratulations to April for coming in as runner-up in her first tournament with the 8-Ball Club. This month's in-house 9-Ball tournament had 10 players competing. Scott went undefeated in the winner's bracket until the last match. Larry sent Scott to the loser bracket resulting in a rematch for the final which Scott won. Congratulations to Scott, this month's 9-Ball champion. If you're new to the game or have played it before, don't be shy, stop by, pick up a stick, and give us a try. Walk in and ask for Del, Larry, or any of the members who are playing. The 8-Ball Club is always looking for new members who would like to learn and play pool to join us. There is a calendar of our events on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board in the Billiards Room at The Lodge. If you have any questions about your 8-Ball Club, contact one of the officers: Captain Del Lyles, Sr. at (951) 267-1752 or Co-Captain Larry Rice at (951) 236-1156. If no one answers, just leave a message one of us will get back to you. ~ Larry Rice 8-Ball Club Wild Bunch Billiards Let's hope by the time you read this, the weather is below 100 degrees. If not, the Billiards Room is nice and cool, perfect for a game (or two) of pool. The "Wild Bunch" is in full swing, and looking forward to having those who are serious and competitive billiards players join us. We enjoy playing 8-Ball, Scotch Doubles, and 9-Ball. You don't have to be the best player, just a player who wants to improve their game in a more competitive setting. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league, and we are always looking for great competition. Some of these players are Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Paul Snyder, Mike Fisher, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Gary Condurucci, Brad Hodge, Verina Rector, Gracy Luna, just to name a few. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room on Fridays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm and join in the stimulation of competitive play. Looking forward to seeing you! ~ Gracy Luna, gracyluna@aol. com, (951) 292-3624 9-Ball Champion Scott 8-Ball Tournament Runner-Up April and Champion Larry
