ICC Dinner Dance Club Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers Makua Hula Dancers wish our Sun Lakes friends a blessed Thanksgiving. In giving thanks, we also recognize our veterans and extend our gratitude for their service to this wonderful country. At the Follies, Makua Hula dancers enjoyed performing "Hele On To Kauai." Perla Williams and her husband John performed Pandanggo sa ilaw (candlelight dance), a very popular folk dance in the Philippines. This Filipino dance involves balancing oil lamps on your head and hands. This dance of lights simulates fireflies in the night. Showcasing their talent with an entertaining skit titled, "Get Me To The Church" was performed by Donna as the bride and Sussy, Perla, and Marlene as her bridesmaids. Our next performance is scheduled for Dec. 1 at the Tree Lighting event. We enjoy your support and look forward to performing for you. Anyone interested in learning more about Hawaiian Hula dancing are welcomed to join the Makua Hula Dancers every Wednesday at the North Clubhouse from 10 am to 12 pm. No previous dance experience is necessary. If you are interested in having the Makua Hula dancers perform for your event, or would like more information about our group, contact Perla Williams at (951)467-8339 or pearlyshellsdancer@gmail.com.
