FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2023 63 We had our third quarterly tournament of 2023. The first place team was Bob Rector/Dave Williams. The second place team was Dave Thomason/Brad Hodge. We want to give a shout out to our third place (Honorable Mention) team of Paul Snyder/Mike Owens. Our last quarterly tournament of 2023 will be in December. As a gentle reminder, to qualify for tournament play you need to have played third sessions in the quarter. So, come on down and get some games in. We meet on Tuesdays. The first session is from 11 am to 1 pm. Second session is from 1 to 3 pm. See you there! For info, contact Paul Snyder at (909) 214-9464 or Donna Hendzel at (909) 435-6589. ~ Donna Hendzel Billiards for Fun Group The 8-Ball club would like to welcome new member, Calvin Cummings. A big welcome aboard. This month's in-house 8-Ball tournament had 13 players competing in the tournament. The games ran so long that the tournament had to be finished on that Friday. The 8-Ball final was between April and Bella. April was able to come away with the win. Congratulations to Bella, this month's runner up, and April, this month's champion. At the time of this article's writing, the author did not have the results of the 9-Ball in-house tournament. We will publish those results in the next Breeze. The 8-Ball Club continues the year with lots of practice and tournaments. The club practices or plays tournaments Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6:30 until 9 pm. The Club meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month, an 8-Ball tournament on the second Wednesday of the month, and a 9-Ball tournament on the fourth Wednesday of the month. The club also plays four team events with Solera Oak Valley (1615 Fairway Dr., Beaumont, 92223) and Solera Diamond Valley (1645 Paseo Diamante, Hemet, 92545) on the first, second, third, and fourth Mondays of each month. Two here and two away. Check the calendar on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board for all the events each month. If you're new to the game or have played it before, don't be shy, stop by, pick up a stick and give us a try. Walk in and ask for Del, Larry, or any of the members playing about the club. The 8-Ball Club is always looking for new members who would like to learn and play pool to join us. There is a calendar of our events in the Billiards Room, at The Lodge, and on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board. If you have any questions about your 8-Ball Club, contact one of the officers: Captain Del Lyles, Sr. (951) 267-1752, Co-Captain Larry Rice (951) 236-1156. If no one answers, just leave a message and one of us will get back to you. ~ Larry Rice 8-Ball Club Wild Bunch Billiards Let's hope by the time you read this, the weather is nice and cool, perfect for a game (or two) of pool. The "Wild Bunch" is in full swing, and looking forward to having those who are serious and competitive billiards players join us. We enjoy playing 8 Ball, Scotch Doubles, and 9 Ball. You don't have to be the best player, just a player who wants to improve your game in a more competitive setting. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league, and we are always looking for great competition. Some of these players are Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Paul Snyder, Mike Fisher, Dave Anderson, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Gary Condurucci, Brad Hodge, Verina Rector, Gracy Luna, just to name a few. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 and join in the stimulation of competitive play. Looking forward to seeing you! ~ Gracy Luna, gracyluna@aol. com, (951) 292-3624 October 8-Ball Tournament Champion April & Runner-Up Bella Second Place Dave omason and Brad Hodge First Place Bob Rector and Dave Williams
