We had 12 challengers in a one-on-one bracketed competition. Congratulations to Rich and Ron! e CMGC Awards Dinner is held in December and awards are given for grand achievements in golf by the Membership. Trophies are awarded for the Club Championship and President's Cup winners along with the closest to the pin for the year on four holes and the lowest number of putts for the year. Next year's officers are presented, and a raffle is held. e Colony Men's Golf Club is currently holding our yearly membership drive, and for only $72 you can join us for our monthly luncheons with a free open bar, several general meetings, the Awards dinner, and all our Wednesday games and major competitions. at fee includes SCGA membership of $36. To play golf on Wednesday, contact Greg Griffes at 951-383-9988 or greggriffesgolf@gmail.com. e November Colony Couples 2Ball tournament results… wow! e game was played in ideal conditions and the scores reflected the inevitable for this 9 Hole event. Closest to Pin honors were spread around by the Gals, but the Guys honors were "swept" by John Comeau at 6'4½" on #9, 9'11" on #5 and 37'3" on #2…? (ank goodness the team was able to par the hole using a driver for the second shot from John's CTP lie.) We had an on-site awards social for November commandeered by our Chief Catering Officer, Randy Meyer. It appears to have been well received by all who attended, aside from an insistent chant from the unruly of "let's eat." is would also have occurred when the kids got home from ball practice in the days of "years past." Calm however was restored aer the awards were presented as we "let the feeding begin!" Because of a scheduling conflict, the December Colony 2Ball Tournament event will be cancelled, thus closing out the tournament event with the November competition. We will pick up once again on ursday, Jan. 4. More fun on the links is in our future. If you have interest, give me a call or drop an email to dmurph44@vrizon.net and I will send you a 2024 tournament schedule (first ursday aernoon of the month), rules of the game, and include you in our active mailing list. Requirements for this event are to be able to grasp a club! Being a member of the Men's or Women's Golf Club is not required. Just pick up some sticks and join us for a friendly aernoon of fun. Look forward to hearing from you. See ya on the links! Have a GREAT holiday season and be safe. November Winners Below Colony Couples 2Ball By Dennis Murphy, 951-461-0457 Rich Brown Ron Brown
