The Crown Divas decided to make this month's event "Christmas Cheer." As you walked into the room, you could hear Christmas music softly playing. The room was decorated with beautiful table flower arrangements made by Sherry- Lady Glitter. There was a table with large gift baskets to be raffled. Another table was decorated with the pretty bags and boxes that were brought for our gift exchange. But first, what better way to start our morning than with mimosas and cheers to everyone. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, juices, cinnamon pastries, fruit and yogurts. Pictures were taken and conversations filled the room. Then Vickie-Queen asked the Divas if anyone would like to share any pleasant wishes or thoughts with the sisterhood. Every Diva shared and it was both emotional and inspiring to hear these wonderful ladies from different walks of life express how we can come together every month and just be ourselves. Now it was time for the gift exchange except no one wanted to exchange their gift for another one. We are excited to bring a great line up of wines this coming year. We have some new faces and some you have seen in the past. Here's hoping for another successful year of Taste d'Vine Wine Club. January is the time to renew your annual registration. This year, as in the past, the registration is $30 per member and the monthly dues are $5 per person. This month we have the pleasure of welcoming John Slater, representing Mosaic Wine Alliance. A wine distributor located in Palm Springs, Mosaic has been serving California since 1991. Mosaic has a worldwide library of wineries. Mosaic Wine Alliance represents over 40 Oregon Wineries so we should have a great selection from which to taste and we look forward to exploring Oregon wines. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in The Lodge Theater. We listen to and watch musical selections on the big screen. Each month we focus on a particular work or several selections of one composer. We also discuss current musical performances in the area. We welcome new members.
