| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2024 | 43 Table Tennis e Adventure Begins: Our New Table Tennis Club launch party celebration was a wonderful success! e festive gathering also served as our General Membership Meeting. We voted in our Board of Directors for the coming year, 2024. e election results are below: Stan S. Katz continues to enjoy the opportunity to serve as President. e other six talented members of the Board are: Cliff Singh - Vice-President, Kim Curl - Secretary, Tim Rogers - Treasurer, Eileen Hayden - Board Director, Babu Patrose - Board Director, Vickie Foster - Board Director. As For e Party! Abravanel Hall was filled with many happy folks, listening to music, eating pizza and salad, homemade cupcakes, wine/beer, so drinks, and OF COURSE, we had three table tennis tables set up. Almost everyone joined in the fun playing singles and doubles, while being supportive of some of the newer players among us. Above are photos of the party festivities and the new Board of Directors. Our Club generally meets in the Mykonos Room on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 3:30 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, if the room is not required aerwards for another activity, the Table Tennis Tables remain available for visitors and their guests for the rest of the day. ere is also the possibility that in the future our Club will utilize the Abravanel Hall which would give us a larger space to play. A weekly email is sent to Club members with schedule changes. Our schedule is also included in the OHCC weekly activity printout available at the Clubhouse front desk and on the OHCC website Recreation Calendar. Do you have fond memories of playing table tennis "ping pong" in your youth? Well, here is your chance to return to this fun sport once again - e yearly dues are only $10 and if you join now, your membership runs through 2024 - Just drop off a check at the Clubhouse Front Desk and ask for them to place it in the Table Tennis Club envelope. Please include your email and phone number on the check. We are a welcoming group that supports newer players as they improve their game. Looking forward to you joining us.
