Join us for great music, games, dancing, themed decorations, a full meal, and of course, wonderful fellowship around the table. Members and guests are permitted to BYO/beverages, with coffee/ water provided. Club generally meets the first Friday of each month. However, January is dark. The next event is Fri., Feb. 2 at 5:30 pm, South Clubhouse, for a memorable Mardi Gras evening with music from the Latin Crooner, Jake Gutierrez. Members and guests will enjoy a delicious meal of chicken piccata, sides and chocolate eclairs for dessert. Come dressed for the celebration and enjoy the wonderful evening with themed decorations by Peggy Knox and her great committee. All this for just $25 pp. Sign-up deadline will be Jan. 29 at 4 pm. If you want to sit with a special friend or at a specific table, please note on the envelope when you drop off your check, made out to Paisano, to Barbara Jesus at 540 Pine Valley-drop in box. Memberships for the entire 2024 year are just $30 pp, and due by Jan. 15. You can obtain a 2024 membership form on the SLCC Paisano Club website, obtain a flyer/form at the Main Clubhouse information shelves, or contact Barbara Jesus at (909) 915-4320. Make your checks out to Paisano Club and drop off at 540 Pine Valley-drop in box. Guests may try the club for one time without paying the membership fee and just pay for the dinner, presently $25 for February through November 2024. Paisano Wine Club At the time of this writing there are still seats available for our Jan. 20 event "Open the Door to 24" in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 5 pm. Cost is $55 per person (includes $10 for 2024 dues). The deadline to sign up for this event is Jan. 14. There will be a large charcuterie board of cheeses, meats, fruits, and nuts and 6 different bottles of wine on each table of eight. Everyone will receive a free gift and one person at each table will win a bottle of wine. The evening entertainment will be provided by Walle Larsson, a contemporary jazz saxophonist and flautist with two Top 20 Billboard songs and two #1 New York Music Choice Chart songs! Make your check payable to: Sun Lakes Wine Club and drop it off at Steve von Rajcs' home at 4883 Copper Creek Drive by Jan. 12. Tables seat up to eight people. If you wish to sit with friends, you must submit all checks in the same envelope with a list of names. We will do our best to seat you together. For anyone not currently a member of the Wine Club, applications are available in the Main Clubhouse reception area. Annual dues are just $10 per person. Please fill out the application completely and include an email address, if available, so that you don't miss out on information about future events. Please drop off applications with your check to the aforementioned address. For 2024, the Steering Committee has decided to have two large Main Clubhouse Ballroom events and four smaller events in the South Clubhouse that will include wine education and fun with social time afterwards. If you have a desire to expand your palate, explore new wines and learn more about wine, these events are for you. These events will feature food and wine pairings, blind tastings, guess the varietal, etc.. The dates are March 29, May 31, July 12, and Sept. 13. Nov. 16, 2024 will be our last event of the year and will be in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. More info to follow. Cheers!
