MICHAEL SAPERSTEIN I would like to introduce Michael Saperstein, "Mikey" to many. He was born July 31, 1942 and passed away on November 24, 2023. Mike loved his life at Four Seasons. He participated in many clubs and activities: TOPS, Billiards, Shuffleboard, Bocce Club (chairperson), Amphitheater concerts, Breeze magazine, Ballroom Dancing, Bridge, Canasta, Hearts, Dominoes, Rummikub, Couples Bridge, and loved walking the trails. He was a strong supporter of Carol's Kitchen. Michael was a California native raised in Santa Barbara. He graduated high school a year early and enrolled in college. He graduated with a B.S. in Business. His chosen profession was printing – running machines – and also working in the sales department. As a veteran, having served in the National Guard, he attended Officers Training only to have his time cut short due to medical issues. Michael's business skills were used to acquire real estate property, close to 80 properties by the time of his death! This allowed him to retire at age 37 from printing. However, retirement was not a word in Mike's vocabulary. He traveled to the mountains of Colorado where he took ski lessons. Within a short time he was hired as a ski instructor by Breckenridge Ski School. Skiing and teaching were his passion. He excelled as an instructor and skier. He worked 30 years in the ski industry and received a Rolex watch as a retirement gift. Winters in Colorado and summers in California gave him time to enjoy boating, scuba diving, and bicycle riding at the beach. One day he was surfing the internet and discovered the Four Seasons community that touted an active lifestyle. A day visit led to long weekend visits and finally to a decision to sell our harbor home and purchase our first "new home." He loved seeing the mountains, especially dusted with snow, walking the trails, but most of all, he loved the people – friends – with whom he shared so many activities and time. One of his last texts to me said, "You brought me my pictures, trophies, and I have memories. Fun, fun memories." To all the friends who shared time with Mike, you have enriched his life and it meant so much to him. God bless you and thank you.
